Posttraumatic adjustment in health care workers

Health care workers are at the frontline of the current pandemic. They often have to handle emotionally impactful situations and at times make difficult decisions. We will assess the impact this has on their mental health and how they adjust following the peak of the crisis.

To this end, an international consortium is collaborating to gather data on health care workers in Australia, Iran, Croatia, Austria, … If you would like to implement this study in your country, please contact us via email CoronaWellBeing@rug.nl

Each local researcher starts their data collection after the local peak of the pandemic is past. Three and six months later, all participants will be invited to follow-up assessments. This will allow us to study how impactful the pandemic was during its peak and whether it leaves longer-lasting traces.
